【摘要】:Significance8212;Thistestmethodprovidesameanstomeasurethetransmissivityofpartsinthefield(alreadyinstalledonaircraft)andoflarge,thickorcurvedpartsthatmaynotlendthemselvestomeasurementusingTestMethodD1003.Use8212;Thistestmethodmaybeusedonanytransparentpart.Itisprimarilyintendedforuseonlarge,curved,orthickpartsthatmayalreadybeinstalled(forexample,windscreensonaircraft).1.1Thistestmethoddescribesanapparatusandprocedurethatissuitableformeasuringthetransmissivityoflarge,thick,orcurvedtransparentpartsincludingpartsalreadyinstalled.Thistestmethodislimitedtotransparenciesthatarerelativelyneutralwithrespecttowavelength(nothighlycolored).1.2Sincethetransmissivity(transmissioncoefficient)isaratiooftwoluminancevalues,ithasnounits.Theunitsofluminancerecordedintheintermediatestepsofthistestmethodarenotcritical;anyrecognizedunitsofluminance(forexample,foot-lambertsorcandelaspersquaremetre)maybeused,aslongasuseisconsistent.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
